Is Facebook Making You Unhappy?

Is Facebook making you unhappy or discontented with your own life? Do you feel dissatisfied or even a little inferior because everyone else seems to be happier, having more fun, more successful, more attractive, more adventuresome, etc? Have we somehow fallen into a trap of comparing what we do and what we have to others….even if it’s just a little bit?

First of all, we need to remember that people are posting the “highlights” and in reality, we see, do, and experience things that aren’t worthy of the highlights reel! But more importantly, the Bible reminded me today about the importance of being content with all that God has given me. Let’s focus on the goodness of God in our own lives and stop comparing ourselves to others.
