Giving all the honor and glory and praise to my Lord Jesus Christ, these are the words of a dear senior saint in my church. She begins every testimony with these thirteen words and I can understand why. You see, she was saved from a life of drugs and alcohol on the brink of death when she finally received the Lord in her life. Now the love of Christ abounds in her speech, her smile, and her works. She can’t help but to praise Him!
This is how I feel when I think of the miracles of Christ in my life over the past four weeks; so I am giving all the honor and glory and praise to my Lord Jesus Christ. My love of God abounds!
You see, I cried out to God and He answered. In fact, He answered so quickly that I was in shock, maybe even in denial, skeptical actually. Then a good friend reminded me that the worst thing we could do is not believe it when God answers our prayers. We must pray in faith, believing, right?
For almost eight years, my husband and I have been in a spiritual battle for our son. He was running with the wrong crowd and involved in many harmful things. We had hit a real breaking point and for the first time in his life, we honestly gave up. We knew that there was nothing we could do anymore, we had tried everything in our power to make things better and failed time after time. So we turned him over to God and gave up all control (literally). Two and a half days later a miracle occurred!! Our son was in the deepest part of the valley, to him there seemed to be no way out, and the Lord lifted him and placed him on the mountain top. Our son has accepted the glorious grace of God and received His gift of salvation. After years of running from God, turning his back on Him and even denouncing His very existence, he broke down the walls that he built between them and let Him in. My heart swells with the love I feel for God because He was so merciful, so loving, so gracious to forgive. And now, our son has a whole new beginning.
I am so grateful. I just had to share the good news. I have recently witnessed a miracle! So I must give credit where credit is due. This was not my doing, not my husband’s, not even our son’s, this was the mighty hand of God in our lives. Thank you Lord for loving us the way you do.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20 (KJV)
There is no one like You among the gods, O Lord, Nor are there any works like Yours. All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, And they shall glorify Your name. For You are great and do wondrous deeds; You alone are God. Psalm 86:8-10
