Years ago… like back in the early 90s, a lady I worked for had a license plate that said “luvnlife.” I wasn’t sure that was possible because life felt so hard. I was a lost young woman, struggling to survive, and just trying to find my way.
Now twenty-something years later, I can’t think of any other time in my life that I have felt as fulfilled as I feel right now. It’s amazing to see how God is working and how He is directing my path. I’m so grateful for His everlasting mercies and His abundant grace that He applies to me everyday, especially knowing that I veer off course and mess up all the time!
This past year, I made some big choices in my career (quit my corporate job) and life (started a church with my husband), but most importantly, I surrendered to His will which in all honesty, I know I had been fighting out of fear and selfishness. I’m learning that it’s never too late to follow Him, you’re never too old to fulfill your purpose. When the Israelites returned to the Promised Land after 40 years in the wilderness, Caleb was 85 years old and living his second chance. Joshua 14:10-12
Do I have all the answers to His plan? Oh absolutely not! I am walking by faith; but boy oh boy, am I’m enjoying the joy of the Lord and my salvation! If you want to experience “luvnlife” then seek out His plan for you, surrender your will for His, and follow Him. There’s a calling that you need to fulfill!
